FCOA collaborates with members around the world. These are individuals that like to make a difference. 

Many of our members earned their trainings and ratings trough service and collaboration. If your good for FCOA, FCOA will be good for you. 

You might be a swimmer that wants to become a diver or a divemaster that wants to become a scuba instructor. Either way we can always find ways to collaborate. 

Within your capacity you will participate in teaching other members and you will help to spread our mission among the less privileged. What you learn today, be ready to teach it tomorrow.

All our trainings start with freediving. If you want to become a scuba diver you will first have to complete at least FCOA lesson 1 till 6 and this starts with homework on fcoa.online.  The scuba training gets given under CMAS, that is one of the oldest scuba diving organizations known for its high-quality trainings. Many of our active members get sponsored or get very economic scuba lessons in exchange for helping us teach our bigger groups. 

It's said that only 20% of Instructor graduates continues teaching.

At FCOA that's quite the opposite, from all the coaches and Instructors we train about 80% continues teaching.

Here some reasons why:

1. We teach swimming and Freediving before scuba. You first become a swim and freediving coach before you start teaching scuba. 80% of the world can't swim. If you know how to teach swimming your target group is 5 times bigger than that of Instructors that only know how to teach scuba to swimmers

2. During your coach and instructor training you participate in teaching a high volume of real students. Once you become an Instructor you will be confident and able to teach independently. Most Instructor courses only get you to roleplay the teaching with fellow instructor students. Once they graduate they are still very inexperienced and insecure. Companies think twice to hire them and they certainly can't yet teach by themselves.

3. The theory is for a big part home study and self study. This is a slow process and naturally filters the few that are really ready to become coaches and Instructors. We don't spoon feed.

4. We are a nonprofit organization and we set our members up to work for themselves. We teach them how to advertise themselves. Once they graduate they might collaborate with other dive shops for a while as a freelancer, but they will also find their own clients. First for swim and freediving training. Then later they offer scuba to those exact same students.

5. Our certification system and web learning is free for the world to use. There is no cost for learning materials and certification processing.

Freediving Coaches Of Asia collaborates with Divers Around the World. Those divers participate in teaching less privileged in exchange for their own certification trainings. This makes all trainings very cost effective and comes with an abundance of real time teaching opportunities. 

We are available at multiple locations in the Philippines and India and also have trainers in the Seychelles, Uganda and Zambia
